The 12cm Stoney Owl by Auld Lang Stone features inset granite eyes, and individual markings, as each stone is carved by hand. The heavy river stones are sourced from China, responsibly extracted from rivers in danger of flooding. These unique and eye catching carved decorative river stones are great for adding into beds and borders between plants, but can also be used for interior decorations- a great gift for any animal lover, whether they love gardening or not!

Auld Lang Stone is a family run business based in West Yorkshire. They specialise in producing hand-carved granite river stones into the well-known Stoney Owls, and TiggywinkleHedgehogs- their most recent introduction.
The cobbles are extracted from rivers in China to prevent flooding. This is a government controlled project, and the stones are only extracted where it would be beneficial to the land and, as a natural resource, their extraction is closely controlled to prevent any possible environmental damage. Auld Lang Stone has ensured that there is an adequate ethical policy in place for the workforce carrying out the extraction. In addition, Auld Lang Stone is a member of Envirowise, which is a government funded programme, dedicated to reducing the use of resources within UK businesses.
Each stone is hand carved, and therefore no stone is the same! Stoney Owls and Tiggywinkle Hedgehogs are the perfect gift, or decorative item for your garden- or even indoors!
