Stoney Owl 7cm by Auld Lang Stone

The well-know Stoney Owls from Auld Lang Stone are available in this small 7cm version, making this a great decorative item for either inside on a windowsill, or outside on the patio! If you’re stuck for a gift idea, this is something different and unique. Each Stoney Owl is hand carved from river cobbles from China, each with its own markings, measurements and shapes. The granite eyes are set and glued in securely. Please note that the product you receive may not look exactly as photographed here, as no two stones are the same colour or shape.

Auld Lang Stone is a family run business based in West Yorkshire. They specialise in producing hand-carved granite river stones into the well-known Stoney Owls, and TiggywinkleHedgehogs- their most recent introduction.

The cobbles are extracted from rivers in China to prevent flooding. This is a government controlled project, and the stones are only extracted where it would be beneficial to the land and, as a natural resource, their extraction is closely controlled to prevent any possible environmental damage. Auld Lang Stone has ensured that there is an adequate ethical policy in place for the workforce carrying out the extraction. In addition, Auld Lang Stone is a member of Envirowise, which is a government funded programme, dedicated to reducing the use of resources within UK businesses.

Each stone is hand carved, and therefore no stone is the same! Stoney Owls and Tiggywinkle Hedgehogs are the perfect gift, or decorative item for your garden- or even indoors!
