Avoca is an Irish family-run business, born out of one of the world’s oldest surviving manufacturing companies. Established since 1723, Avoca started as a modest hand-weaving mill in a rural Irish village, which is still used today! Avoca’s incredible journey has resulted in perfumes, glassware and ceramics, not to mention a chain of Ireland’s best loved and most recognised cafés. Avoca’s famous throws and blankets, as well as their clothing range are exported to boutiques all around the world, not to mention their own food label with dozens of delicious Avoca products. We’re proud to let you know that we are one of those…well; not quite a glamorous boutique, but we’re selling Avoca all the same!

Avoca offer unique products that are all designed in-house by like-minded individuals, such as organic farmers, potters, perfumers, and candle makers. We’ve really taken a shine to some of Avoca’s ceramics, and stock a wide range of some of our favourite items, not to mention the irresistible blankets and throws, which shout what Avoca is really about: quality and unique style! The buttons ceramic range from Avoca has become one of our most popular ranges in our Garden Centre, and just about every member of staff has bought an Avoca cookbook to take home!

Avoca’s Café’s and recipe cookbooks were in fact the inspiration behind our latest venture here at Crowders- our brand new restaurant, The Redwood. Located at our Garden Centre site, The Redwood overlooks the beautiful garden surroundings, including the 100-year old Redwood tree! Serving nothing less than the best quality, innovative food in stylish and relaxed surroundings, The Redwood has based itself on what we consider to be a recipe for success. Similarly to Avoca, creating all bread, ice cream and meals in-house, using the best local suppliers around, the seasonal menu at The Redwood provides something a little bit different in our small market town. The bespoke wine menu (which was oh-so-difficult to choose!) offers the perfect blend of variety and quality to compliment the top-quality food.
