Plants for Seaside and Coastal Gardens

When planting in maritime districts it is wise to take note of what shrubs are growing well in full exposure in neighbouring gardens. As a rule the items listed should take the full exposure and can be adopted as the first line of defence behind which other shrubs may be grown. It is best to plant small stock and stake every one. Some form of netting or fencing is advisable in very exposed sites.
