Hyacinth Speciality Gypsy Queen produces very fragrant salmon pink flowers on short stems and are ideal for growing in pots and containers or in borders near the house where the scented can be enjoyed in spring.
Hyacinths come in a range of colours and are easy to grow indoors and out. Prepared Hyacinths are ideal for indoor bowls and should be planted in bulb fibre compost soon after purchase with the top showing above the compost, water until moist and left in a cool dark place until the buds are 3cm and bring into a warm room until flowering. Once flowering has started keep cool to give the flowers a longer life.
Bedding and Speciality Hyacinths can be used as prepared Hyacinths but will flower later or can be planted in the garden to flower in spring.
