Cornus Alba Elegantissima or Red-barked Dogwood Shrub is a deciduous, fast growing plant with red winter shoots. Cornus Alba Elegantissima has Grey-green leaves, margined white that turn red in autumn. It carries white flowers from April to June which are followed by white berries in July, which are sometimes tinged blue.
Will this Hedging Plant be Suitable?
Cornus Alba Elegantissima grows in either full sun are partial shade and will grow in most soil conditions, but particularly like wet soil. It can grow in windy areas, but not maritime exposure and is suitable for use in a border or as a barrier. It is an ideal plant for excellent autumn colour as it is well known for its vivid red stems.
