UK grown in Mycorrhizal fungi rich soil that ensures excellent root establishment even when replanted, this pack of 50 whips comprises of 10x Prunus Spinosa, 10x Malus Sylvestris, 10x Corylus Avellana, 10x Sambucus Nigra and 10x Prunus Aviums.

Featuring light green leaves and small white, bowl-shaped flowers that blossom from February to early April, the deciduous Prunus Spinosa or Blackthorn produces an abundance of distinctive black berries known as sloes in the autumn months that are ideal for flavouring alcoholic drinks. With a tangled prickly habit, expect to see birds and animals take refuge in the nesting qualities of the Prunus Spinosa.

Native to Europe, the Malus Sylvestris or Crab Apple has a serrulate leaf margin of mid green colour and produces white flowers in the spring with a dark crimson underside, followed by yellow fruits from June that are suitable for making your very own Crab Apple jelly!

With upright foliage of heart-shaped leaves that turn orange at maturation, the Corylus Avellana or Hazel bears yellow cylindrical flower clusters from December to February and edible hazelnuts in the autumn. Worthy of its name, the Corkscrew Hazel features intricately arrange branches making it a wintry highlight in any garden due to its ornate appearance.

A Fast Growing Hedging Plant, the Sambucus Nigra or Eva features pungent pale pink flowers followed by glossy black fruit in the autumn against densely arranged golden yellow lanceolate foliage that help to create a compact Garden Barrier. Successful in any type of soil, the Black Elder requires adequate sunshine for fruit growth.

Showing autumn interest of orange and red oval leaves, the Prunus Avium or Wild Cherry features a profusion of small white flowers from April, followed by dark red berries in July. Tolerant to cold temperatures to -10c and benefiting from light shade, the Deciduous Sweet Cherry requires regular trimming to maintain a hedge like appearance.
